The Blake Human Hair Wig by Jon Renau ...

Being able to style your alternative hair yourself is kind of a big deal when you wear a wig.

I'm not talking about those who wear wigs for fashion. I mean for those of us that are wearing hair due to medical hair loss. Believe me when I tell you it's a really wonderful feeling to be able to wash you alternative hair and blow dry / style it on your own head!

It's normal. It's average. It is what it is and nothing more ... <blog_break>

It's this normality that I think we crave when we've lost our natural hair to alopecia or other medical conditions.

It is important to all of us to be as comfortable as possible in our own skin (or own hair as it were!) which is why the Blake wig by Jon Renau is a piece I hold particularly close to my heart.

Blake was the wig I wore when I married my husband back in April of 2017 <3

Here's why I felt beautiful in Blake ...

Blake is 100% Remy human hair so I was able to do pretty much whatever I wanted with her for my big day.

The lovely long length of the Blake wig gave me lots of styling options and being a fan of long hair I felt instantly princess like when I put her on.

Blake arrives pretty much all one length apart from some longer layering throughout the style so when you first try her on she can feel a little heavy and overwhelming.

The trick here is to put Blake on and damp down the top using either a water spray bottle (using cold water from the tap is all you need) or if you don't have a water spray bottle and absolutely must play with her right away then grab a cup or a glass and half fill this with water and dip a comb into it to damp down the top.

I've created a quick video on how to put a parting in your human hair wig so take a look at that right here.

Once your parting is in you will instantly feel that the Blake wig is more manageable. Just getting all the hair out of your face makes a world of difference!

The second thing that made me fall in love with the Blake wig is that she comes on an all hand tied cap.

The lace front makes her look very natural and this also allows you to wear your hair away from you face if you want to. No fringe needed!

A full mono top allows you to place the parting wherever you'd like and because the back and sides of Blake are all enclosed she really does feel snug and secure.

Like I said, the Blake wig is fantastic!

For my big day I did opt for using a little tape to secure her but on a day-to-day basis I don't wear tape with her I opt to wearing my hair grip band under her and this keeps her in place all day long <3

Do you wear the Blake wig?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this one <3
